What exactly is an RV??
Almost daily, we get a call asking if we rent RVs (with the customer referring to a motorized unit). A Recreational Vehicle can be any class of motor home along with any pull behind unit, including travel trailers, fifth wheels, and pop ups.
Currently, the only RVs we rent are travel trailers. We welcome you to try out the RV lifestyle in one of our wonderful pull behind style RVs!
Why no motorhomes?
Motorhomes do not pass the same safety standards as a passenger vehicle. The only safe places for passengers to ride in a motorhome are the driver and passenger seats. The rest of the space is not safe for traveling, even if there are seat belts. Car seats can not be safely installed anywhere within a motorhome as well. I take safety (especially car seat safety as I am a CPST) seriously, and since I can’t control the number of people who can ride inside the motorhome once it leaves my lot, we will not be having any motorhomes in our rental fleet. The upfront purchase and upkeep of the engine and drive train are also big factors we have to consider.
Frequently Asked Questions
How new are the RV's that I would rent?
All of our travel trailers are within 1-3 years old. We buy new units every few years. We then sell the used RV's through Trailers & Hitches, Inc.
What is the minimum rental period?
In most cases, there is just a 2 night minimum, and remember, our office is not open on Saturdays or Sundays for pick ups.
What if I don't know anything about using an RV?
Don't worry! We will show you how everything works and help you feel confident before hitting the road. We will spend as much time as you need showing how everything works & how to hook up the hitch properly.
How can I reserve a rental unit?
It takes about 3-5 minutes to reserve online using our secure system. Go to the Renting tab & click the BOOK NOW button. Simply enter the dates you wish to depart and return, pick the trailer you wish to rent and follow the prompts from there, or you can call 316-775-3637
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit cards. The credit card used must be in the customer's name and be swiped at the time of rental pickup.

Customers cancel their reservation up to 7 days prior to their departure date and receive a full refund of their down payment minus a $25 administration fee. Any unit cancelled within 7 days of their rental will lose their reservation deposit.
What times can I pick up/return my rental?
You can schedule an exact pick up between 8-11am or 1-4pm. We ask that you return your rental by 3pm on the scheduled return date. Please contact us if you require special arrangements, and we will do our best to satisfy your needs as long as our rental schedule coincides.
ALL RENTAL PICK UPS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
What comes with the rentals and what do I need to bring?
All trailers have an A/C, microwave, stove, oven, and a refrigerator/freezer. You should bring bed linens and towels as well as food, cooking supplies, dishes, and utensils - or rent a kitchen kit from us. We provide a full tank of propane, toilet paper, and chemicals for the lavatory, along with all hoses and connectors needed for outside hookups.
Please contact us with any special requests. If you are unsure of any items, don't hesitate to ask. We're always happy to help!

Travel trailers have kitchens and restrooms, but they are not equipped with a power source. If you want electricity, you can connect to a shore power source. All our units require 30amp power.
